Five Question Friday, 10/30:
1. What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh?
Since I often laugh to keep sane, keep from crying, not murder my husband/kids/dog (might be extreme wording) or not pull my own hair out (gnashing of teeth is acceptable) I am ALWAYS laughing! I think the last time it was a good belly shaking, tear inducing and pants peeing laugh was about a week ago when I got stuck between the toilet and the tub while helping my husband lay some floor tile. I found out that you can fit between these objects when you are 25 weeks and under pregnant, but not 30+ weeks for sure.

2. Who was your first CELEBRITY crush?
Being a typical female even at the tender age of dawning puberty, I looked to see what a man/boy could give to me. I fell in love with Alec of the movie "The Black Stallion" because he had a super beautiful horse. I thought his freckles were cute as well. I spent months dreaming of a freckly kids and horse farm full of Arabians.

3. What is one talent that you wish you had?
I wish I had a super fast metabolism. Wait, that's not a talent, is it?
OK, I wish I had no fear of public speaking. I have this thing coming up with my mom (Mrs. Super-travel-around-the-country-speaker) and I will have to talk. I could just vomit right now thinking about it. I have tried the picture everyone naked thing, but lets face...sometimes that isn't funny at all, it downright nauseating which I am battling already.

4. How often do you and your spouse go out w/o the kids? Is it frequent enough?
You mean there is an option to detach them from our hips and travel lighter? Seriously we have gone out just once since the kiddos were born and that was for about 1.5 hours while my parents kept them.
I never considered the disappointment of frequency because we waited until we had been married for 7 years before having our first. Frankly we are sick of spending time alone, heard all the old stories, know each others' fav movie, color and smells...the kids are a welcome distraction.

A base color of tan. I have a quilt on the bed that is scenes from the discovery of America. (Mayflower, indians, etc) that is full of bright primary colors.
We also have a healthy spattering of pink, purple, orange, etc. of whatever toys the children have chosen to decorate the floors in.

Good point on the kids/date night thing! Since I was a "package deal" (I have a child from a previous, way too young and stupid, relationship...like "surprise" of that dreaded relationship tho'!)...we decided to hop right in! 8+ years of marriage and 5 kids! I'm laughing with the picture of you wedged between the toilet and wall! That...would have been a sight to see!
Did it! Thanks for sharing!
I'm with you on the public speaking. That is something I am terrified as well. I have passed up lots of opportunities because I just do not have the nerve to get up and talk in front of people.
I'm with you on the date night thingy to. For me, I had a 15 year old when my husband and I got married, so we had a couple years of alone time before we had our daughter.
Sorry, but I'm LOL @ the visual of you stuck between the toilet and tub. :o)
Have a great weekend!
I totally agree on the public speaking thing. I had to take it to fulfill an Oral intensive requirement at school. I took the easy way out and took Public Speaking online! We recorded our speeches with a web cam and sent them to our professor. I'm need to get over that fear!
LOL @ picturing the audience naked. We have toys decorating our bedroom floor as well. Great answers.
Oh no! Pregnancy does such (eye-roll) wonderful things to our bodies doesn't it!!! I mean, our little bundles are precious, but SERIOUSLY!!!! :)
I love the quilt you described on your bed!!! How COOL is that?!
